Kings' and Queens' Stunning Timepieces

There’s a particular mystique around kings and queens, one that conjures up images of power, status, and luxury. We all know how meticulously the royals chose the clothes to wear. They also put the same consideration when choosing their jewelry and timepieces. It’s no surprise that they’re owing the most valuable and rare timepieces.

Spain

King of Spain has a great passion for timepieces. He has an Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean Olympic Edition in his collection.

The monarch also owns the City of Sails Alinghi Edition of the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak series. King Felipe VI enjoys yachting, which explains this choice of limited-edition watch. The King also has the Santos de Cartier for informal meetings and time-spending.

The UK

Queen Elizabeth has one of the most noticeable collections of exquisite timepieces.

For her coronation, she wore a Jaeger-LeCoultre watch, The white gold watch has the smallest mechanical watch movement in the world. Even more, Calibre 101 weighs only one gram.

The Queen has also been spotted wearing a Patek Philippe Golden Ellipse watch, Audemars Piguet watch, and one more Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso model.

Norway

King Harald wears his Pepsi GMT-Master watch on most occasions. He was a three-time Olympian as a sailor. In his countless pictures, you can see King Harald still wearing his Pepsi Rolex GMT-Master. Of course, he has not been owning only this timepiece. However, it remains his constant and favorite companion for a very long time.

Denmark

Rolex Datejust was the first watch sighted on the King of Denmark’s wrist. Willem-Alexander’s following timepiece is from Jaeger-LeCoultre. It’s a golden Master Control Calendar Moonphase.

From 1998 until 2013, Willem-Alexander served on the International Olympic Committee, and his next timepiece has been inspired by the Olympic games.  He wore an Olympic edition Omega De Ville Co-Axial 41 Chronograph.

The King also has a stainless steel Omega Speedmaster Professional with a leather strap. The Speedmaster was the first watch to be worn on the Moon, and it bears no resemblance to any other timepiece.

Queen Máxima owns a few remarkable timepieces of her own. The first watch is a yellow gold Cartier Tank, while the second is a stainless steel Rolex Datejust on an Oyster Bracelet.
