Where Water Meets Wood: L’Eau D’Issey Line’s New Flanker
Issey Miyake has recently debuted a variation masculine fragrance to the brand’s signature smell. Although it is a flanker, Eau & Cèdre has little in common with the original L’Eau d’Issey pour Homme, and the most distinctive nuances of the previous version are not present here.
Notes
Grapefruit, cardamom, and cypress are the top notes of Eau & Cèdre, which intrigue the senses. Cedarwood and Calone make up the fragrance’s heart, and Patchouli and Vetiver make up its base.
A splash of balsamic aromas heralds the fragrance’s arrival. Cardamom and Cypress are submerged in grapefruit juicy overtones.
As this opening tone fades, a little salty woodsy-aquatic aroma progressively emerges, as though cedar had been stroked by the sea waves. This is where the dry wood meets the salty water.
Velvety patchouli and soft vetiver end the presentation with earthy verdant notes. All in all the new fragrance is pleasant, light, aquatic, and woodsy, ideal for summer hot times.
Availability and price
The fragrance is available in 50-ml and 100-ml bottles. You can buy it from retailers and online shops all over the world, for $80 and $110, correspondently. Check the official Issey Miyake site for more information.
