The most expensive jewel in the world is a blue Hope Diamond. It has a history of more than 4 centuries and is believed to have originated in India. Harry Winston, the jewel merchant donated it to the Smithsonian. It is still placed there.
A Heritage in Bloom Necklace
Hong Kong-based jeweler Wallace Chan created an exclusive masterpiece – A Heritage in Bloom necklace. It has a 104-carat diamond n the center, with 11,551 diamonds along. This piece can be worn in many different ways — 27, to be exact. It took the jeweler more than 45 000 hours to make the stunning piece, which is now worth $200 million.
Its price is approximately $100 million. Diamond company Graff, based in London, created the Peacock Brooch with more than 1,250 gemstones. The brooch has a deep blue 20-carat diamond at its heart.
Previously, this unique gem was a part of an exhibition at the Smithsonian Institute. It was auctioned at $71.2 million in 2017 and set the new auction record.
