This fall, Michael Kors decided to put the pandemic behind and prepared a new collection. The main idea is comfort, chic and monochrome colors.
Michael Kors coined the phrase “antithesis of sad slipper existence” to describe his new collection.
All collection items are monochromatic, from head to toe. All colors, whether a calm neutral or an explosive jolt of coral, yellow, or scorching pink stress the classic materials and form. The sport-cut evening gowns are the key elements of MK’s tremendous impression. The short lengths he displayed here are year-round wearable thanks to a pair of very high suede stocking boots. A statement piece of outerwear, on the other hand, is a must-have. Kors called it “a calling card in New York”
Marilyn Monroe was the inspiration for the collection’s clutch coats. Clutch coats are worn with the hand clasped together or fell open to expose the dress underneath. We can easily recall the picture of the famous actress clutching both sides of her coat – the reminiscence of a tender and womanish look.
Double-face cashmere or faux fur were the materials of choice for Michael Kors’ new line. Underneath those clutch coats are racerback shifts or one-sleeve dresses in clinging sequined jerseys. Dinner dates and nights out at the theater are clearly on Kors’ mind.
That’s the 2022 luxury formula: you can cut a dress with eye-popping curves, but the comfort should prevail.
