These Hublot timepieces feature Murakami’s distinctive flower with a wide smile, created with jewels. The previous partnership watch had a black spectrum, but this latest collaboration features a rainbow one.
Rainbow colors
So, 487 precious gems, including sapphires of all colors, amethysts, and rubies produce the watch’s outburst of hues. The flower in the center has more than a hundred precious stones in various cuts, with additional 384 stones embedded in the petals.
Pricing
Murakami stressed that he realized to what extent the traditional know-how, precision, futuristic technique, and craftsmanship were all intertwined in the creation of a watch. He also added that it was a stunning new adventure for him.
The Classic Fusion Takashi Murakami Sapphire Rainbow has a price of $10,600. This limited edition has only 100 pieces in the collection.
