Now, during Covid times, the trend of staying at home and work remotely has been spreading all over the globe. The future of office work could come down to a compromise and the tendency would continue even when the pandemic is gone.

A functional desktop must be placed in a bright place, on the sunny side, so as not to strain your eyes. At least one window must be present near the location of the computer.

Choose a desk with convenient drawers for all your paperwork and stationery.  If the desk drawers are not enough, add a small cabinet on the wall or put a shelf or two on the sides of the table.

If you are going to spend a lot of time in your own home office, then you need to take care of a comfortable chair.

The design should be adjustable, with the ability to change the height of the seat, the angle of the seatback, and some other parameters; the best choice would be a semi-soft seat made of non-slip, breathable material that is easy to clean.

Furniture color and style

Home office furniture should complement other rooms in your house.

It is worth choosing its color and style based on personal preferences. It is better to opt for soft, discreet shades so that nothing distracts you from work.

Finally, if you have additional space available, you can put a couch or a comfortable chair near the table for thinking over creative ideas, or just for relaxation.
