Gucci Jackie Bag Review

Gucci Jackie Bag Review

Only a few of the fashion bags are as timeless as the Gucci Jackie bag. It has been revived, recently, one more time. Now it got a modern touch with some additional details.

History

The brand initially introduced the Jackie bag in the 1950s under a completely different name. However, in the 1970s, when Jackie Kennedy was seen protecting herself from omnipresent photographers with one of these purses, it became linked with her name and her exquisite fashion sense.

The bag’s popularity hasn’t waned. The company’s design directors keep on bringing it back to life.

Revival

Gucci reintroduced the iconic bag, named after the legendary first lady of fashion. The Italian leather brand added new sizes and strap lengths for the bag to be ready for a new life in the modern world.

Even more, it remained a hallmark with the fashion company over the years.  Alessandro Michele created the current edition, Jackie 1961 in 2020. So, it became clear that this bag would never go out of trend.

Jackie 1961

The modern edition of the iconic item has a supplementary, detachable shoulder strap. The second strap gives the vintage classic a modern twist by enabling additional ways to wear it—from the top – handle to shoulder, or cross-body.

There are three sizes available for the Jackie 1961. The materials are either GG Supreme Canvas or leather. Furthermore, the variety of colors for leather models are stunning.

The Jackie 1961 is available exclusively in Gucci stores and on their website. The prices range from $2070 to $2750 depending on the size and the material.
