The Solus GT hypercar, which fans have been using on the Gran Turismo game for a long time, became a reality this summer.
Concept
The Solus GT will be the fastest car from McLaren. It is based on the digital character that the company first developed for gameplay.
It features a single seat. Instead, of the door, the cabin is accessible through a movable cover similar to that of a strike aircraft. This prototype car is a staggering embodiment of the virtual prototype, which moved off the game screen straight into the real world.
Not road legal
This will be a high-priced amusement for the ultra-rich because it will not be legal on the road.
As to the specs, the car has a 5.2-liter engine that produces 840 bhp. It should reach 100km/h in only two and a half seconds, and its peak speed is well over 321 km/h.
Extreme design
It embodies the innovative philosophy of the brand. Its design has not any constraints or racing rules but with the entire range of McLaren’s capabilities to make it a reality.
The outlandish design is quite similar to the Grand Turismo’s car concept that first appeared in the well-known computer game 5 years ago.
There are 25 cars only. All of them have already been subsequently purchased by the company’s most ardent fans. The deliveries will start in 2023.
